Each of the factions is made up of a number of smaller groups, each consisting of anywhere from a single character up to over a hundred different player characters. Below is a list of the groups in the Jackals, along with short descriptions, and contact information (feel free to contact the Webmaster for specific information if it is not available here).
- Herrod's International Trading - Currently a small group, Herrod's International Trading are the sons, daughters, slaves and associates of the Great Sheikh En'Vac Al'Fayed of Arabia. They are traders, diplomats and gatherers of knowledge. Most of the group follow the Prophet Mah'Djinn, an ancestor of Arabia. The Webmaster currently plays Sultan Vinn E'Gar Al'Fayed, and would be happy to discuss character concepts with interested players.
- The Tides of Blood - crew of a merchant ship that serves as the supply vessel to the Jackals Navy. It is responsible for dropping off arms and supplies both to ports and to the mighty warships that protect the Southland’s coast. The crew make ends meet by trading wares picked up at the various ports they visit.
- Togadjuju Brood – Tribal lizardkin who collectively inhabit the swamps and jungles straddling the border of Kongasa and Heshel, south of the Zambezi. The group is heavily influenced by a mix of New Orleans and Haitian voodoo with a little Jamaican culture thrown in for good measure. Leanings of the group are towards performance of rituals, rites, alchemy and magic. PM Papa ‘Bo for details.
- Juv-Worv Clan - A small clan of Alcoholic confectioners that live on the Greacian isles of Ithaka and Ionia. The clan is governed by the cheiftain (Oulee-Garn) and a council of eight advisors (including Eliween, Jadon, Nathaniel and AEdin).
- The Clan McTaff - A Caledonian clan who spent generations in Cymrja due to a deal with fae. Originally part of the Bears faction, joined the Jackals as it was forming. Settled in Sujan? after killing a Gorgon that was terrorizing the local population (and doing a good trade in lifelike statues). The group are almost all involved with Rituals and most of us practice some kind of magic. PM Bashir McTaff for details.
- House Fang - A large group of Ex-Mercenaries the founders of which have roots based all over the egg, primarily Erin. Currently living in northern Heshel in small base camps. Recently the House suffered gigantic losses at the Great Edrejan Fayre and the second moot (a total of about 6 House members lost in all). The group leans very heavily towards Necromancy and currently involves itself in Necromantic rituals. (PM Scratch or Potatoe for more information).
- The Wanga-Zulu Nation - From the savannas and plains of deepest, darkest Nubia come the screaming, semi-naked hordes of the Wanga-Zulu Nation led by their blood soaked and slavering Ancestor-King, The Big Wanga and with him the glorious and exalted Chieftain of all the Orcs of Nubia Gashwang Nobrot...there might also be some trolls.
- The Maurabians - From the land of Maurabia, a desert land with a few oases, the Maurab peoples are three: Mameluks from the towns, Nomads who roam the desert and the Chanim who settle on the oases along the Great Road. Never trust a Maurab, especially if he tells you you have nice boots. Leader, Naline, the Camel Trader and CEO of the Maurabian Traders´ Union.
- The Celebur - A small nomadic tribe of Elves, they came to the southlands after losing their homelands to invaders, Many of the tribe are still lost in the world but now they are regaining strength within the southlands. Please see Captain Sularis Celebur for more info
